Building community

Webster Village

Webster Village is nine affordable townhomes located on 14th, 15th, and North Claymont Streets in Northeast Wilmington. The development is part of Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County’s greater revitalization efforts in the 11th Street Bridge Community.

At the Webster Village I dedication, Seeds of Greatness Gospel Ministries welcomed attendees with a musical selection. The celebration recognized the hard work of the homeowners, volunteers, and project sponsors, including the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, Wilmington Housing Partnership, JPMorgan Chase Foundation, Thrivent Builds, and Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Local clergy blessed the homes, and Councilwoman Stephanie Bolden welcomed the future homeowners. The dedication reflected a shared belief that homeownership strengthens families, brings stability, and builds pride in neighborhoods.

“First-time homeownership is a significant event in the life of any family. It creates more wealth for families, leads to greater family stability, improved performance by kids in school and pride in neighborhoods.”
— Dave Buches, Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh
